More about San Blas surfspot
General: About 80 miles north of Vallarta, the coastline begins jutting far enough back out into the Pacific to pick up spring and summer S swell pulses. San Blas marks the beginning of this fortunate geological shift. Just south of town is the famous Stoner's Point, which is a mellow, cobblestone righthand pointbreak. Other than Stoner's and Santa Cruz on the other side of the bay, a lefthand point, it's pretty much beachbreak heaven in and around San Blas. Tides: All tides, depending on spot choice Size: Waist high to double overhead Wind: E, SE Swell: S, SW Bottom: Sand Paddling: Manageable. Spot Rating: Average beach break depending on the swell.
