Surf: São Conrado is a heaving shorey barrelfest on better SE swells, attracting large numbers of bodyboarders from the large local favela, Rocinha. Both the lefts off the rocky eastern end and the middle peak will lurch from air drop to spitting barrel with lots of wedge and close-out ramps. Environment: Not the place to get cocky or leave anything in the car. The pollution is sickening after rains.
