More about Sea Island surfspot

General: Sea Island is a privately owned island, so access is limited. There is a large amount of offshore sand here, so the place is somewhat shadowed from south-southeast swells. However, Sea Island can get surf during strong northeast windswells, but likely not worth making a dedicated trip. It's best on an incoming to high tide. Tides: mid to high Size: knee-head high Wind: W, NW Swell: NE, E Bottom: Sand; some rip rap rocks may be in the lineup. Paddling: Hard NE and SW winds can produce strong currents, but generally pretty mellow. Spot Rating: Can offer a fun little wave on its day, but overall not a surf destination.
