Seascape surf guide

Seascape is a surf spot located in front of the Seascape Condominiums and just east of Whale's Tail. The highest cliff along the beach offers a great view of the break. The waves here break similarly to those at Pompano Joe's. On big days, the outside break gets popular, while the inside works better when the swell is smaller. This spot is the last opportunity to surf before you head inland toward Panama City Beach.

The waves at Seascape can handle swell sizes ranging from 4 to 8 feet (about 1.2 to 2.4 meters). On smaller days, you can expect waist to head-high waves on the inside, while the outside can get overhead when the swell is big. Waves break over a sandy bottom, and you can catch them both left and right. Ideal wind directions to look out for include Northwest, North, and Northeast, with the best results often happening during low to mid tides. This spot suits a range of abilities from beginners to experts, and you can ride shortboards, fish, funboards, or even longboards depending on your preference.

Access is pretty straightforward; just park along the road and walk down the hill. Fortunately, there isn't much of a crowd here, which allows for a relaxed vibe. Do keep an eye out for golf balls from the nearby Seascape golf course. The beach boasts the beautiful emerald waters typical of the region, making it a nice place to be even if the surf isn't always epic. Best surf seasons are in spring, autumn, and winter, but it can also pick up during hurricanes.
