The line-up at Sombrio Beach is not for the faint-hearted and often experiences a persistent mist, enshrouding the various reef peaks, creating a spooky ambience amongst the huge kelp beds. 1st Peak, Chickens and 2nd peak are some of the options for intermediate to experienced surfers, with the lefts usually more walled up and faster.
Sooke Hwy towards Port Renfrew, 45 minutes . Look for sign to Sombrio Beach Trailhead and turn left. Walk the trail for 20mins
