Sugar Shack surf guide
Surf: Sugar Shack needs a strong NE wind to start supplying average peaks, similar to 2nd Street. The main difference between these two onshore spots is the tide, which makes Sugar Shack a mid to high spot. Steeper outside, it fattens out before hitting the suckier inside.
Rarely breaks, rarely crowded, and rarely any good!
Surf: General: Around the north side of Tybee island is a sand point setup that works well on more solid ENE/NE windswells. Go to the big anchor and turn off the street, left. Follow it around to the Sugar Shack restaurant and follow the walkway to the beach. Mid to high tide works best.
