Surin Beach surf guide

Surin Beach is a popular surf spot located on the island, known for its beautiful scenery and decent waves. The beach is often visited by surfers and locals alike, offering a laid-back vibe. It’s a place where you can chill out and catch some decent surf, especially when the conditions are right.

This spot picks up the lions share of SW (SouthWest) swell, making it often the biggest on the island. It can handle swell sizes starting from around 1 ft (0.3 meters) up to much larger sets. On high tide, when swells are big, the waves can be pretty good, but you’ll also find decent surf during low to mid tides when the conditions are smaller. The northern end has a last rock that creates a nice sandbank, producing fast right-hand breaks as well as some lefts. Just be mindful that there are some rocks to avoid when you're out there.

A breezy east wind is usually preferred here, helping to shape the waves better. This beach is also beginner-friendly, so if you’re new to surfing, it’s a solid spot to work on your skills with the forgiving breaks. You're likely to enjoy a relaxed session here depending on the conditions!
