Tapak Padri surf guide

Surf: The city of Bengkulu has a lefthand point known locally as Tapak Padri. Sand builds up on the lee side of some big seawalls with 2 projecting jetties. The break is heavily sheltered by a large offshore reef to the south of the point, which blocks a lot of S swell. It works best on large SW to W swell and the more W in the swell, the bigger it will be. It breaks through all tides and can wall up for some really long rides. Environment: Not too consistent as it is often too small. There's a friendly crew of about 50 local surfers in the town.
