In Terrigal, beginners will look for the smaller peaks in the protected southern corner, but is often a dumpy close-out. Good place to check in a southerly buster. Experienced surfers will head to the famous rocky outcrop that protects Terrigal Haven. It usually works in solid winter swells when powerful, grinding, juicy right-handers can peel for more than 200m. Best on chunky E to SE swell at mid tide, and be prepared for the odd dry rock surprise!
Go to the boat harbour and jump off rocks. All facilities back on the main drag. Parking can be a hassle.
