Surf: Lake Ontario is far deeper than Erie, so longer duration windswells give the chance of a cleaner wave after the wind has died down. In summer, an E breeze is prevalent and sometimes strong enough to fuel some decent spots. The rocky, cobblestone shore at Grimsby leads into the long established surf spots around The Bridge, where peaks near the lift bridge, are best on E/NE winds. Environment: It's pretty consistent, and unsurprisingly polluted given the backdrop of heavy industry and steelworks.
