General: The LineUp at Wai Kai is an exciting social and recreational hub headlined by the Wai Kai Wave – a 100-foot-wide standing surf wave, along with water-based activities on the adjacent 52-acre recreational lagoon, a restaurant, café and unique retail. Wai Kai Wave is a surf destination for locals and visitors, and for surf competitions. It was created by citywave® in partnership with Shane Beschen (a partner in The LineUp at Wai Kai’s operating company), X Games Gold Medalist and former world #2 ranked surfer. The LineUp is managed by Surf Park Management. Tides: Not applicable for surf parks. Size: A deep-water standing surf wave that spans 100-feet wide with perfect endless and adjustable glassy waves of two feet to head-high, for all skill levels using standard surfboards with fins allowing for carving turns and top-to-bottom surfing. Wind: Not applicable for surf parks. Swell: Not applicable for surf parks. Bottom: Not applicable for surf parks. Paddling: None, no paddle out needed. Spot Rating: Although not your traditional wave, this deep water standing wave is fun to surf, great for progression, and an amazing workout. The activities, food, and vibe adds to the spot experience as well.

The Lineup is Located in the Wai Kai community of Ewa Beach, just 22 miles from Honolulu. Surrounded by two bars, two restaurants and ton of activities with a big parking lot, there is a lot to do here.

It's a surf park in Hawaii! All seasons work here.

Crowd Factor: Pretty light on the weekdays. Can get busy in afternoon and on weekends. The more advanced surfers tend to come in evening time. Local Vibe: A good mix of beginners and advanced. Everyone has a great vibe. The surf ops team is extremely helpful getting all surfers accommodated to the wave.

Pristine. The pool is well managed and the water is clean.

Getting held down after bailing and your board. Be sure to wear the offered helmet, the boards shoot back at you quickly. It's a good idea to use the offered boards at The Lineup rather than bringing your own board.
