The Machine surf guide

The Machine is a surf spot located deep in the bay, known for its challenging surf conditions. It features a left barrel that is known to be ultra hollow. The wave has become harder to access due to a new kink mid-wave, making it tough to make it to the channel. This spot is mostly for experienced surfers due to its demanding nature and requirements for specific surf conditions.

The best surf here happens with a swell direction from the South or SouthWest, and it works well with swell sizes around 4ft (about 1.2 meters). The preferred wind direction is Northeast, and you'll want to hit it at high tide for the best results. Surfers can find the wave breaking over dead coral, so it’s recommended for those who know what they’re doing out there.

In addition to The Machine, there are other waves nearby. If you're looking for something a bit different, you can check out spots like Sobatu to the west or head back towards Teluk Dalam harbor to find Rivermouth. Each of these has its own vibe and can offer some fun options if the conditions at The Machine aren't quite right.
