The Spot - KZN SA surf guide

The Spot is a well-known surf break located near the Mfazazana local village on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It can be a bit tricky to find, but those who make the effort are often rewarded with some decent waves. This spot has a reputation for its leg-burning rides when the conditions are right, although it can also serve up a lot of close-outs if the sandbanks don't cooperate.

The best swell direction for The Spot is from the SouthWest, but it can also handle SouthEast3ft (about 0.9 meters). It typically breaks over boulders and sand, with a point break that sends waves to the right. To get the best out of it, surfers usually look for low to mid tide conditions and west winds.
