More about Timber Cove surfspot

As if you didn’t need any more rocky surf spots, the next one down is called Timber Cove and, yep, it’s a real paradise for our friend, Mr. Barnacle. Timber Cove is a low tide right at the north end of the cove; it only breaks during big NW swells, so go here during the between winter storms (i.e. sunny days), when the wind is from the N.

Oodles of rock hazards, so it isn’t a beginner’s spot. Access is via a steep lane through the privately-owned Timber Cove Campground & Boat Landing, so you’ll have to dispense a small day-use parking fee to the good man at the booth if you want to surf here.
