Surf: Betsey Island sits 1km off the South Arm’s coastline, forcing large swells to reflect around it and reform into the sucky barrels of the Wedge. Punchy and swift, it's a good challenge for average surfers when the swell is double-overhead outside and distilled down to a more manageable height here. Environment: No secret, despite access being a bit of a trek, so it's often crowded.
