Situated in Holgate Wildlife Reserve on the southern tip of L.B.I.. A slight bend in the coast gives Wooden Jetties the capacity to hold the biggest NE swells. It will break on all tides, but low will be smaller and high will make it full, so mid is the pick. Lefts only, which seem to break below sea level with plenty of punch.
A big slab of steel submerged on the inside and severe currents are the main hazards. Pay to park in summer but no tags.
