Overview
Adonis is a sectiony right-hand reef that peels off the eastern tip of Veymandhoo pass. The wave breaks over dead coral and runs as a series of sections rather than one long, even wall.
When It Works
Adonis draws swell from the southwest through southeast, with southwest the direction that lines the sections up best. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for north offshore wind to groom the right-hander clean. It breaks on mid and high tide, and a rising tide is generally the better call.
Local Tips
Adonis suits intermediate surfers, who will get the most out of reading and connecting its shifting sections.
