Agiba Cove surf guide
Agiba Cove is located past Marsa Matruh, and it’s known for its scenic fjord-like bay that offers surfers a unique spot to ride some waves. The cove is generally not too crowded, making it a nice place to enjoy a session without too much hassle. The vibe here is laid-back, and it's suitable for those looking for a bit of adventure.
The surf at Agiba Cove tends to work best with a northwest swell, and it can handle sizes of around 2ft (0.6m). The waves break over uneven reef, creating left-point waves that can be fun for intermediate surfers. It’s important to note that the best conditions occur with a southwesterly wind and can be surfed at low, mid, or high tide. A big swell is needed for the waves to reach shoulder height, so keep that in mind when planning your session.
Aside from the surf, Agiba Cove offers a bit of variety, but it's definitely more suitable for intermediate surfers due to the reef and wave conditions. The overall experience is pretty chill, and if you’re up for a bit of exploration, you might find some great little nooks around the cove.
