Bus Stop, also known as Brue, is a surf spot located across the bay that has gained popularity among surfers. It gets its name from an old green bus used by wildlife rangers. The spot is accessed by driving around to the left, similar to the route to Barvas.
This place is known for its powerful left point break that can roll for up to 500 meters over boulders. The waves work best with swell from the west and can handle sizes around 4 feet (1.2 meters). You’ll also find options for both South and North swell directions here. While it can handle more swell, the outside section faces less of the strong southwest winds, making it a decent choice when conditions are right. Expect primarily expert-level waves, especially towards Arnol, which are even more challenging.
Whether you’re looking to catch long lefts or test your skills against powerful waves, Bus Stop is a spot for experienced surfers. It's important to check the winds, as south winds are preferred here, and the tide can be good at low, mid, or high. Make sure to come prepared, as the waves can be punishing if you’re not up for the challenge.
