Surf: The large pier at Champerico gives the sand and surfers a focus, breaking on a clean, small SW swell, with short barrels before it closes-out. The large breakwalls to the north can hold some likeable lefts as well. Environment: Only medium consistency and there can still be rips beside the pier. Several cheap hotels make it possible to wait for those occasional days. Local crew are friendly and there are a few beach shacks with some old equipment for rent.
