Surf: The small fishing village of Estero del Plátano has a good reputation among surfers of northern Ecuador. What appears to be a beachbreak ultimately breaks over reef since the sand is covering a good rock set-up. Waves regularly barrel thanks to typically offshore winds in the morning. It needs any W swells and SW will be good for the lefts. Environment: Long drive and no facilities.
