Surf: It's a 10min paddle from Galinhas harbour to a shallow, outside reef that can have a punchy righthander on glassy mornings plus there's an occasional left. Some hollow beachbreaks can be found in town at Borete, which are usually fairly empty. Environment: Porto de Galinhas is a well-known tourist resort with 10 hotels and 60 pousadas. This reef doesn't feel as far offshore as others in the zone but of course be vigilant for sharks.
