K55/Campo Lopez is a solid surf spot known for its consistency. It’s similar to K38, offering decent waves that can get pretty fun, especially when the right conditions align. The view is nice, and while it's not a super crowded spot, you’ll still find a mix of local surfers and visitors enjoying the waves.
The surf can get pretty juicy here, especially at the point during a Northwest swell. It works best with a South swell direction and can handle swell sizes around 3ft (about 1 meter). The waves break over an uneven reef, mainly offering right-handers that can provide some fun rides. The best bet for a good session is during low to mid tide, and a NorthEast wind typically helps to clean things up a bit. This place is suitable for intermediate surfers looking to improve their skills and enjoy some barrel action.
While you'll mostly find local surfers in the water, especially around the point, there’s a decent beach break just north of the rocks that can offer a bit more variety. Keep in mind that Campo security is known to restrict access to non-guests, so keep it respectful while you're out there.
