Overview
Kadu is a right-hand reef break over live coral, and you'll also see it written as Kanduoiygiri. It comes to life on the same big swells that light up the rest of the area, though the waves here stay smaller than the neighbouring spots. Across the wide channel sits Paradise Island, which has pitched itself as a surf resort, but the lefts over there are little more than a closeout.
When It Works
The spot draws swell from southeast to south (SE-S), with southeast (SE) the best match. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, so there's a decent working window once a proper swell fills in. Consistency is the catch: Kadu can be quiet for stretches, but it's worth watching when a big swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest (NW) offshore wind. The reef can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
Kadu suits intermediate surfers, and the lineup tends to stay fairly quiet even when it's on.
