Lanzarote - west coast surf guide

Surf: The west-facing beach/reef breaks of El Golfo and Playa de Janubio are so exposed to swell and strong currents that they are usually too dangerous to surf. The ultra hollow, sucky reefs may look inviting but the reality is they are usually unmakeable. Rips are strong and the line-up is disorganised – avoid.
