Lerici - La Venere is a surf spot located just a few kilometers south of La Spezia on Highway A10. It's a nice go-to place when the more popular spots like Levanto and other parts of Tuscany are not working. The area features a clean, slow right-hand wave that is accessible from the northern jetty, making it pretty easy for surfers to get into the lineup.
This spot works best with a south or southwest swell, and it can handle swell sizes around 3ft (about 1 meter). The waves break over sand, providing a point break that is great for beginners. The waves tend to be more consistent during low to mid to high tide, and the preferred wind direction is from the southwest, which can help shape the waves nicely.
Keep in mind that Lerici can get a bit crowded at times, especially when the conditions are right. It's a popular spot, so sharing the waves is just part of the experience. Overall, if you're in the area and looking for a mellow surf session, Lerici - La Venere can be a solid choice.
