Approaching Kingston Airport, Plump Point Lighthouse is clearly visible below, one of the south coast’s most consistent spots, and a real treat for those fresh off the plane. It looks like a long and soft left pointbreak from the air, but more often than not, it’s the short barrelling rights that the regular crowds covet.

Also located along the Palisadoes peninsula, a cargo ship ran aground, forming a perfect 200 yard long, mechanically peeling, lefthander. The Wreck was the prime south coast surf spot, however, wave action has reduced it to a submerged heap of rusting metal and there might be the odd wave there but The Groins will be better.
