Surf: Margate is the largest resort town along the South Coast, full of amusements, including a steep, shorebreak wedge, perfect for bodyboarding in summer as the left point headland protects the waves from the nasty NE’ers. Environment: Can be crowded but Margate surfers usually surf elsewhere.
