Lungomare is a surf spot located in the charming little town of Cefalù, right along the sea promenade. It’s easily reachable via the A19 Messina-Palermo highway. The atmosphere here is pretty relaxed and it usually isn’t crowded, making it a good place to get your surf on without feeling overwhelmed by the crowd.
This spot has several peaks that work best on a north swell but can also take swells from the west and northeast. It handles swell sizes starting from about 2 ft (0.6 meters) and can deliver waves that break over sand. You’ll find both left and right breaking waves here. The best time to surf is during low, mid, or high tide, but keep in mind that it works better with an east wind to help keep the waves from becoming too fast or hollow.
Lungomare is suitable for beginners, so if you're just starting out, it's a good choice. Just watch for the best conditions, especially when the wind is right and the tide is favorable, to make the most of your session.
