Mars is a beachbreak that peels both left and right over a mix of uneven reef and sand, set under the dramatic shadow of the Mars Mountains. The beachbreak action runs all the way down the coast to Beris, home to a large port and a couple of points.
When It Works
Mars draws swell from southeast through south, with a south swell the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, so there is a decent window of usable size to play with.
Wind and Tide
Look for a north offshore wind to clean up the faces. It can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
