No Return surf guide

No Return is a surf spot that requires a decent swell to really come alive. Located a bit off the beaten path, it tends to keep the crowds down, attracting mainly advanced surfers looking for a challenge. Accessing it involves a distance paddle from Secrets, so it's not the most convenient spot, but that helps maintain a more relaxed vibe when you get there.

This spot is known for its challenging down-the-line right-handers that offer some good barrel opportunities. It works best with swells coming from the SouthWest, but can also handle South and NorthWest swells. Expect it to handle swell sizes around 4ft (about 1.2 meters) quite comfortably. The waves break over an uneven reef, so keep an eye out for the rocks. The trusty North winds are your friend here, and the mid to high tide is when you’ll get the best conditions. Just remember, this spot is definitely for expert surfers—it's not for the faint-hearted.

Because of the nature of the reef and swell, getting into a good rhythm can be tricky but rewarding when conditions line up. Being patient and waiting for the right moment is key here. If you put in the effort to get there, you might score some solid waves without having to deal with a huge crowd.
