Oxwich Bay is a surf spot located in the beautiful Gower Peninsula, known for its sandy beach and scenic views. The surf here is generally best enjoyed during high tide, and the beach can get crowded, especially on good days.

The surf is mainly a beach break that works best with a southwest swell. You can expect it to handle swell sizes starting at around 1 ft (0.3 m), although it usually needs a decent winter swell to really get going. The waves break over sand and can produce both left and right waves, making it suitable for intermediate surfers. The preferred wind direction is northwesterly, which can help shape the surf better. While there is a point break and reef at the western end of the bay, they don’t get enough swell often enough to really make it worth chasing.

Access to Oxwich Bay can be a bit of a hassle as it has an expensive private car park. So, be prepared to shell out some cash if you're planning to surf here. With its mixed ability crowd, it’s a good spot to hang out, especially if you're looking to catch some fun waves with other surfers.
