Parea Left is a surf spot located on the southern side of the island. It's one of those places that can offer some decent waves if the conditions align. While it's not the top surfer destination, there's potential to catch a few good rides, especially when the crowd is light. Staying at the Huahinè Beach Club is a good option if you want easy access to the surf.
This spot works best with a south swell, handling sizes of about 2ft (0.6m). The breaks here are mainly left over a live coral reef, which can make for fun rides. Although it can pick up swells from the northeast and south as well, the north-west winds are preferred for the best surf conditions. It's worth checking out during low to mid to high tides, as this spot can offer varying wave quality depending on the tide.
While not overly popular, you can find some peace here on a flat windless day or when the north winds are blowing. If you’re looking to avoid the crowds, this spot could serve you well when the conditions are just right.
