Equidistant from Jardim and Paul do Mar, it looks deceptively mushy and easy from afar. Best on big W swells and low tide when it can dish out extremely long rides, where speed is essential, especially on the inside barrel section. Defined channel so the paddle out is less daunting than some other spots.
Walk along the rocky shore under the cliffs from either village.
Almost half-way between Paul do Mar and Jardim do Mar. Most people make the walk from Jardim because it's closer to the channel.
Ponta Pequena is one of the most consistent spots on the island so it’s sometimes crowded. Long walk under cliffs prone to landslides and falling rocks.
