Surf: 40km to the south, Poovar can hold fast tubular lefts and rights into the rivermouth with a decent swell and NE winds. The name may give a clue as to what is flowing out of the estuarine system behind the beach! Chowara beach peaks stretch northwards into the distance. Environment: Watch out for strong currents.
