Praia do Burgau is a beach on the western Algarve that pulls in swell from a wide window, running from south-southwest through west to north-northwest. It's usable across a broad range of sizes, working from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 2.6 m / 8 ft, so there's something to ride on both small and bigger days.
For the cleanest conditions, look for a north-northwest offshore wind, and a workable wind window sits from northwest to north-northwest. The spot is at its best around low tide, though both rising and falling tides can deliver.
