More about Rocky Point (WA) surfspot

Travelling south of the capital Perth and around the small wave zone of Geographie Bay leads to the protected reefs of Cape Naturaliste. If a huge SW-W swell is running, and the SW winds are blowing, then the NE facing breaks found here will be offshore and pumping. The laid-back lefts at Rocky Point are the most popular, especially with surfskis and bathers from Dunsborough. Sloping walls from take-off hit a nice bit of reef further in, throwing out a bit more, but generally this wave is accessible to improvers up. Outside swells can be huge but it will start to max out before it hits d.o.h. There’s some more beginner-orientated beachbreaks and reefs further around at Bunkers Bay, with spots like The Farm, Boneyards and The Quarries working on similar conditions, before rounding Cape Naturaliste onto the west-facing coast.

It's a bit of a trek from the car park on Eagle Bay Rd, but this helps keep the crowds down.
