Overview
San Anton is a medium-quality beachbreak on a small, relatively busy beach, peeling left and right over sand. If the main stretch isn't lining up, there are more options to the east amongst the rocks of Eiron.
When It Works
The beach picks up swell from northwest to north, with northwest (NW) swell the best match. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, though the spot is inconsistent overall, so it pays to jump on the windows when they appear.
Wind and Tide
Look for southwest (SW) wind, which blows offshore here, and the spot can still be OK on west winds. Low tide is best, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
San Anton suits intermediate surfers, and because it breaks inconsistently the lineup rarely gets crowded, even with the beach itself drawing a fair few people.
Access
There's free parking, although finding a space can be difficult in summer. The beach has a lifeguard and showers.
