General: Essentially this is one wide, flat, long beach. It breaks on pretty much any swell and can get pretty juicy on a hurricane with long, tough paddles out. At the very north end of the island, in the Wild Dunes resort, is a spot called Charlie's. It's a sandspit peak that breaks well on solid NE/E windswells. Tides: Mid to high Size: Waist-overhead high Wind: W, NW Swell: S, SE, E, NE Bottom: Sand. Paddling: Hard NE and SW winds can produce strong currents, but generally pretty mellow. Spot Rating: Scattered peaks, ideal for all types surfers most days.
