Aguas Blancas - Ibiza surf guide

Aguas Blancas is a beach located on the east coast of Ibiza. It’s known for its stunning scenery and laid-back vibe, attracting both locals and tourists. The beach can get pretty crowded, especially in the summer months, but it has a cool, semi-nudist atmosphere that many find appealing. The access to the beach is via steep and rocky paths, which can be tricky, especially when it rains. There are a couple of small parking areas nearby, but they can fill up quickly during peak times.

The surf at Aguas Blancas is generally suited for beginners, with optimal swell coming from the NorthEast. It can handle swell sizes starting at around 1 ft (0.3 m) and works well at low, mid, and high tides. You’ll find a mix of left and right breaking waves over a sandy bottom, which can provide some fun rides, especially when the conditions align. On days when the swell comes from the NorthWest or East, you might find some sloppy waves, with occasional more powerful sets rolling through during the winter months.

While Aguas Blancas might not be the most consistent surf spot compared to others on the island, it does have its moments, especially on a big day when those heavier waves break over a rock ledge. It's not uncommon to see a few surfers out during winter, while summer might see more bodyboarders enjoying the conditions. If you’re looking for a chill spot to catch some waves and soak in the sun, Aguas Blancas can be a decent choice, but be prepared for the crowds in the warmer months.
