Arish surf guide
Surf: A good 60km north of Dakhla is Tarf Entayreft or Uad el Cabiat, a large ramshackle fishing village where hundreds of iconic blue fishing boats line the beach. Arish is the name given to the rights that peel for almost 500m, under the wind shadow of the tall cliffs. Th first section is more exposed and an easy walk paddle between the rocks at low-mid. High tide breaks the wave up when small and makes the cruisey, slopey walls even fatter, but it is fun all the way for all surfcraft and abilities with multiple take-off spots down the sectiony line. On a big swell the drops and the rip get tougher.
Environment: Park on the cliffs to the south of the village and walk down the steep road. The all male fishing village is heartbreakingly filthy a perfect example of why plastic is choking both the land and the ocean.
