Potentially powerful lefts and rights can produce long rides on the outside sandbar when it’s lined up and big. Getting out can be a problem, as there are no channels and strong rips/currents. Good and fun when smaller. Longboarders surf here as it often doesn’t break top-to-bottom. No good on higher tides unless it’s big.
Consistent spot and rarely crowded. State Park facilities with campground. Area inhabited by wild ponies, which, as the signs say, will kick and bite.
