More about Blind Creek Park surfspot

General: Although Stuart Rocks is definitely the spot on South Hutchinson Island, the place is filthy with sandbars and reefs. When a good N swell is running and the tide is right, a decent wave breaks off almost every access point. With one or two exceptions, lower tides are essential. Otherwise, the waves are either mush or shorepound. Offshore wind conditions are key, as well. One of the first options is Blind Creek Park, home to the area's only high tide sandbar. Big N-NE swells break way out back over a sand-filled reef, and on higher tides, the walls can have exceptionally good form, but currents will try to sweep you south -- especially with a N-NW wind and an outgoing tide. Blind Creek is a sometimes spot, and the swell needs to be big, but it is always worth a check on your way to the Fort Pierce North Jetty, Fletcher's or Stuart Rocks. Tides: Incoming, high tide Size: Head-overhead Wind: SSW-WNW Swell: NE Bottom: Reef and sand Paddling: Expect to paddle. Spot Rating: Average spots overall but like other South FL spots, can get good on NE swells.
