Boca Raton Inlet is an interesting surf spot located on the border between Broward and Palm Beach County in Florida. It's a bustling area, combining a mix of beach vibes with some fancy local culture. While it may not produce the next big surfing star, it does offer some decent waves to ride if you hit it right. This area can get crowded, as it's not just surfers that come here; boats are often zipping around too, adding to the lively atmosphere.

The south side of the inlet tends to hold size better than the north side and works across all tides with a northeast swell. Here, you can expect waves ranging from about 3 to 8 feet (0.9 to 2.4 meters), and the waves generally break over sandy reef. It can give you both left and right breaks, which is great for varied riding. When the conditions align with a WNW wind, you'll find the best surf, especially during the fall, spring, and winter seasons. Just keep in mind, the crowds can be moderate to heavy, and pecking order in the line-up often depends on the type of car you drive, so be prepared for a competitive vibe.

Red Reef Park is one of the standout spots in the area, especially when windswells are pumping. The shallow reef gets really fun with meaty inside peaks throwing out good waves. Paddling can be a workout with those NE swells, so come ready for it. Among board types, you'll see a mix of shortboards, funboards, and even longboards out here, catering to different skill levels from beginners to more experienced surfers. Just remember, while Boca can surprise with some decent surf, it’s generally not the best compared to other spots along Florida’s coast.
