More about Bonsteel Park surfspot

General: Just a few miles north of Sebastian Inlet, Bonsteel Park is about as surfable as any of Brevard's southern beaches, as long as you're dealing with low tide. Basically neglected because of its proximity to Spanish House and Sebastian Inlet, Bonsteel serves best as an indicator of a swell's change in size as you get toward the Inlet. Tides: Low Size: Waist-2' overhead Wind: SW-W Swell: ENE-E Bottom: Sand Paddling: Not too bad but can be challenging when the surf is bigger. Spot Rating: Not really much of a surf spot but you never known until you go. Mostly a fishing spot.

Suitable for all ability levels.

Public parking lot.

Fall-Spring, Hurricane

Crowd Factor: Uncrowded. Local Vibe: Pretty mellow overall.

Usually very clean.

Watch for shoreline fishers and sharks.
