More about Bungan surfspot

Bungan is a small beach that requires a long walk down the cliffs, but has punchy waves in smaller swells. The north end rocks hold the sand, waiting for a moderate NE swell to transform it into a point style left, but more often it's various beachbreak peaks in the centre. The south end is usually dumpy shorepound until a stronger SE swell hits the rock platforms and throws out some slabby righthanders.

Parking is a hassle in summer in the side streets and the long flights of steps deter a few, plus it is often better than it looks from the top.
