Surf: Camburi can produce some excellent lefts on a major S swell and rights at the other end in an E. Sucky and slabby over a rock sand mix. Peaks in the middle spread the inevitable crowd as this is the most consistent wave in the region. Fortunately there are good options to the west at Baleia, Barra do Sahy and Juquei, or to the east at Boiçucanga where the thumping, sucky shorebreak is a bodyboard destination wave. Environment: Expect some attitude on the good days but there is usually enough room to move and the current can keep the pack moving. All facilities in the cool little beach town.
