Cement Factory is a surf spot located south of the A-frame, just near the large cement extraction works and the harbor jetty. It attracts local surfers looking for something different but isn't one of the top-tier spots. Still, it has its moments when the conditions align right, making it worth a visit if you're in the area.
This spot works best with a south-west swell direction, but it can also handle swells coming from the south and west. The waves usually break over sand and can reach about 1ft (0.3 meters) to a few feet, so it’s suitable for intermediate surfers looking to practice their skills. The wave types are predominantly reef breaks, with rights being the main direction. For a smooth ride, check it out when the wind is coming from the east, and don't worry about the tide—it works well during low, mid, and high tide.
Surfers should keep an eye on swell sizes and conditions, as they can change throughout the day. Since the spot is intermediate-friendly, it’s a good place for honing your skills or catching a few waves without the crowd. Just be prepared for a laid-back vibe and plan your session around the optimal conditions.
