More about Corbyn's Bay surfspot

Port Blair, a characterless cluster of tin-roofed buildings tumbling towards the sea only merits a short stay. Havelock is a popular island with resorts and swell can sneak in from the south, but it will usually be flat and only fit for a bodybash. Close to Port Blair is the main tourist beach of Corbyn's Cove, just east of Ramshackle airport, where the palm-fringed beachbreak is generally flat or a tiny closeout unless there is windswell from the E-SE or booming S filtering thru. One of the only roads heads south, skirting some rocky bays, but nothing around Port Blair is worth hanging out for. There are no reliable breaks on the tiny Twin Islands off Rutland or the Cinque Islands, which are dive, snorkelling and tourist day trip destinations.
