More about Doughnuts surfspot

Walking almost a km to the west of Sardinia Bay will get you into Doughnuts, a bodyboarding favourite since there is always a hole in the middle. Tasty wave when the sugary sand sticks and light N winds open the barrels wide. Needs a bit of tide to hold up.

A good 300m offshore is the spooky lefthander on the Back Reef where fast spinning walls entice those skilled and brave enough to get some shack time without meeting the local wildlife. High tide only which concentrates the occasional crowd of local crew, but most see this as a good thing having more eyes to spot the sharks.
